Mrs. Mayfield's Weekly Homework Sheet

November 9-13

No School Veteran's Day - November 11

Homework goes home on Mondays and is due on Friday at 9:00. If a student is absent, they will have one day extra for each day of absence to make up the homework. My goal is to have students plan their work time around their own schedules.I would like the homework sheets signed on Monday and returned on Tuesday, so that I know that parents are aware of the homework requirements for that week.In addition to the homework sheet assignments, during the year we will also have longer projects and reports that will have separate due dates.

1. Please return this homework sheet signed on Tuesday, November 10th

2. Practice your spelling words by writing them 2 times each night (extra credit and checkbook bonus for writing in cursive)

3. AR reading - students will read for 30 minutes every night (Monday through Thursday) in their AR book. Each night, they must record the date, the name of the book, the author, and a short comment with a personal reflection or opinion in complete sentences on the back of the weekly homework sheet.

4. Grammar-Rule #10, Please read Rule #10, and complete the back side of the page.

5. Math Division  Sheet. You must rewrite the problems on graph paper to show your work. Please practice your multiplication facts for your next timed test of Friday.

6. Social Studies-Using a variety of colors, please color and label the World Map. Color neatly, and label with small, clear print with a black flair pen. Please remember to produce high quality work. STUDY THIS MAP CAREFULLY, YOU WILL BE HAVING A WORLD MAP TEST ON FRIDAY!
