 Class Routines

·        Assignment Notebooks - Daily Planners

o       On the first day of school your child will be given a Discovery Daily Planner Assignment Spiral Notebook. Every evening, your child will bring home this Daily Planner.  The planner contains spaces for  homework to be written in.  There will be homework Monday through Thursday evenings. In the planner, there is also space for daily messages needed to be written by either the parent or teacher. We ask that you look through the planner every evening and sign in the space provided for your signature. If you need to tell me of a doctor/dentist appointment or of any concern, you can do so in the space provided.  I check these every morning. The planner needs to be returned everyday.  This system ensures that parents are aware of daily expectations. If homework is not completed on time, your child will attend Supervision Center at one of the recesses.

·        Thursday Folders

o       Every Thursday, your child will be bringing his/her Go Home envelope home.  This envelope will contain all the notices sent home by our school office and the Discovery Parent Organization.  It will also contain completed assignments.  I ask that you look through your childs school work and discuss their progress with them.  Please sign and return the envelope every Friday.
