Homework Policy
Homework is an important part of the
total educational program. It develops self discipline, good study habits and
helps to improve basic skills.
The time spent on homework will increase
with the grade of the student. As teachers, parents, and students we must work together to achieve success.
Homework will usually fall into one
of the following categories:
- Practice on basic math facts, spelling words, cursive, or reading
- Completion of work not finished during the day
- Study for tests
- Working on long term projects

I will communicate homework expectations
to students and parents in a variety of ways:

Parent Responsibility
- Help your child find a place and time to complete homework
- Encourage your child to be responsbile
- Be supportive and show interest
- Confer with teacher regarding concerns
Student Responsibility
- Understand the assignment and take home necessary materials
- Select an appropriate study place
- Set a regular time to study
- Complete and return assignments on time
