Homework
Homework for 5th graders is assigned each Monday and due on Fridays. Students write homework assignments
not yet completed, in their planners each day. You are asked to sign the planner each evening so you are aware of the daily
homework requirements.
Absences
When students are absent, they are responsible for making up the work. Students will have the work
on their desk when they return. Students have the same number of days they were gone, to complete the work. Much of our classroom
activities cannot be done at home, so regular attendance is encouraged.
WASL
Students today have high academic standards set for them by the state of Washington. 5th graders
will take the Washington Assessment of Student Learning (WASL) in April.
